En virtud de esta Ley, se introducir\u00e1 un nuevo sistema electr\u00f3nico para el manejo de asuntos de pasaportes: el Registro de Documentos de Pasaporte, que operar\u00e1 dentro del Sistema de Registros Estatales. Debido a la introducci\u00f3n de este sistema, ya no ser\u00e1 posible presentar solicitudes de pasaporte en papel, ya que los funcionarios completar\u00e1n las solicitudes electr\u00f3nicamente en el nuevo sistema. Los solicitantes tambi\u00e9n los firmar\u00e1n electr\u00f3nicamente. Tambi\u00e9n se habilitar\u00e1 la posibilidad de verificar la validez de los pasaportes por parte de los ciudadanos, y la p\u00e9rdida del pasaporte ser\u00e1 posible v\u00eda e-puap.
