Polish citizenship and coronavirus
Only Polish citizens can enter Poland without restrictions. In connection with the COVID-19 epidemic, restrictions were imposed on Poland's borders when entering Poland from March 15, 2020. In addition to people with Polish citizenship, they can only enter Poland:
- • foreigners who are spouses or children of Polish citizens or remain under the constant care of Polish citizens;
- • foreigners holding a Pole's Card;
- • heads of diplomatic missions and members of the mission's diplomatic and consular staff, ie persons with a diplomatic rank and members of their families;
- • foreigners who have the right of permanent or temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- • foreigners who have the right to work in the territory of the Republic of Poland, i.e. foreigners entitled to work under the same conditions as Polish citizens,
- • having a work permit, seasonal work permit, a declaration of entrusting the performance of work to a foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- • in particularly justified cases not included above, the commander of the Border Guard post, after obtaining the consent of the Chief of the Border Guard, may allow a foreigner to enter the territory of the Republic of Poland, in the mode specified in the Act of 12 December 2013 on foreigners;
- • foreigners who run a means of transport used to transport goods.
