You can apply for a Polish passport in Poland or abroad. However, regardless of where you apply, you must apply for a passport in person.In Poland
You will receive an application for a passport at the passport office.
You can submit the application at any passport point in Poland.
If you do not have any relief or discount - you will pay PLN 140.
What should I prepare?
- • A completed passport application
- • Color photography
The photo should be recent - taken not earlier than 6 months before submitting the application. You must not wear a hat, dark glasses, or other items that make it difficult to see in the photo. The photo should show the entire head (from the top) and the upper part of the shoulders. The face should occupy 70-80% of the photo.
- • Proof of payment for the passport issuance
- • Copy of Polish abbreviated or complete birth certificate
- • A copy of a Polish abbreviated or complete marriage certificate (regardless of whether you changed your surname in connection with the marriage or not)
The waiting time is about 30 days from submitting the application.

- • Call the office.

The application can also be obtained from the consulate.
The application should be submitted to any consular office of the Republic of Poland. Appointments should be made via the e-konsulat system (link: https://secure.e-konsulat.gov.pl/)
Remember that you will only be able to pick up your passport at the office where you apply!

You will wait about 8 weeks for your passport - although the waiting time depends on the office where you apply. An employee of the office will give you the expected date of receipt of the passport.
